WW II Wrenches For Wenches Earrings, Crystal


In 1940 Elizabeth Hawes, the dress designer, worked a night shift at an airplane factory. Her book Why Women Cry or Wrenches for Wenches tells of her experience. Hawes was also a union organizer, a champion of gender equality, and a political activist. A true feminist.
